Food Services Patient Ambassador (HUP Pavilion)

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic and service-oriented Patient Services Ambassador to join our patient services team at the Pavilion at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, located at 1 Convention Way in University City, Philadelphia, PA. The Patient Services Ambassador is responsible for ordering and serving meals for patients at the hospital.

Full time positions available!

Pay begins at $17.04/hour; you will receive $0.50 increase after 6 months of employment and another $0.50 increase after 1 year of employment! Benefits include generous paid time off (2 weeks of vacation after 1 year of employment; personal days, sick days and paid holidays upon completing probationary period), health insurance and prescription benefits, short term disability, 401k and pension retirement benefits, access to training funds and more!

  • Use an IPAD to enter meal orders and communicate menu choices to patients
  • Serve patient meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and guidelines recommended by the treating physician
  • Read each patient's records and identifiers prior to distributing appropriate meals or snacks
  • Collect all trash and food remnants from patient rooms
  • Promote the highest levels of quality and service
  • Ensure proper food and sanitation standards to comply with federal, state and other regulatory agencies
  • Maintain and foster positive and professional working relationships
  • Other duties and responsibilities as necessary
