Job Requirements of Buyer (Non-Food), Full-time:
- BS/BA in a relevant field of study (Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Supply Chain) or 5 years of experience with an understanding of procurement, contracting, supply chain optimization and/or category management
- Ability to perform analysis and interpret results into actionable steps
- Ability to prioritize effectively among competing priorities
- Strong customer service focused disposition
- Strong attention to detail and process orientation
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) required, Visio or Auto-Quotes is a plus
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Exemplary reputation for integrity
Preferred:
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Experienced in developing and executing procurement strategies, preferably closely aligned with above mentioned responsibilities
- Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of workflow process tools, problem solving tools, and foodservice industry is a plus

Buyer (Non-Food), Full-time
AVI Foodsystems is looking for an experienced Full-time Equipment Procurement Specialist at our Headquarters Service Center in Warren, OH. This is a dayshift position working Monday - Friday.

The responsibilities for this position include:
- Utilizing strategic sourcing and vendor management principles, source and put into place supply agreements that deliver the best total value and ensure availability of supply for the following:
- Commercial foodservice equipment including Back Of House, Front Of House, Smallwares, Office Coffee & Water Services, and related items.
- Components for the vending and micro-market business including cabinetry, marketing displays, point-of-sale electronics, and merchandizing units for frozen, refrigerated and ambient food, snacks and beverages
- Material handling equipment and storage equipment such as pallet jacks, lift trucks, electric carts, commercial shelving, etc.
- Electronic components such as digital signage, barcode scanners, card readers and other accessories as needed to support operations.
- Equipment service and repairs programs
- Assist Business Development by providing cost estimates for new business investments ranging in scope and complexity from single pieces of equipment to multiple facilities on one or more campuses
- Measure suppliers’ performance against continuous improvement standards; drive improvement; resolve service, delivery and/or quality issues.
- Create and issue purchase orders and manage timely delivery
- Analyze pricing, order history, cost savings and mitigate cost increases
- Coordinate pricing and approved vendor information with other internal AVI departments
- Negotiate, execute and track rebate programs
