Food Production Manager

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to immediatley hire to fill the role of Full-time Food Production Manager at our Culinary Support Center in Warren, OH.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee food production and packaging facility, producing fresh food products
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production workers
• Maintain and strive to improve efficiency standards
• Comply with SQF standards
• Demonstrate a full understanding of culinary practices and hold production team members accountable for using proper portion control methods and techniques
• Control food and labor cost

Requirements:

• Experience managing a food production and packaging facility
• ServSafe Certification and HACCP understanding is a plus
• State Inspection experience
• Understanding of department production flows
• Intermediate mechanical understanding of food production & packaging equipment is a plus
• Excellent time management skills and ability to focus on details
• A full understanding of weights and measures
• Understanding of S.O.P., S.S.O.P. and G.M.P.
• Ability to interact and work with all involved in the food safety inspection process
