Cook, Full-time (Aultman Hospital)
AVI Foodsystems at Aultman Hospital is seeking an applicant for a Full-time Cook position with open & closing shifts available. Starting pay rate based on level of experience and education with weekend pay incentives included. This is a rewarding, fast paced position in the healthcare culinary field with a passionate and knowledgeable team. The candidate will be part of a team that cooks from scratch for our Patients and Guests. Applicants should have an understanding of basic food safety and experience in a high volume kitchen. Positive attitude, teamwork, a desire to succeed, and the ability to get things done are a must.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide quality food products consistently by following directions and adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep production consistent to our standards and to set a positive example for the shift team
- Have a desire to learn and grow.
- Follow AVI operational policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
- Maintain and foster positive and professional working relationships
- Other duties and responsibilities as necessary
- Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
- Contributes to positive team environment
- Works with an exceptional Culinary Team including an experienced Executive Chef.
- Follows AVI operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, food handling, and safety.
