Job Description

  • Promote and coordinate events with client representatives
  • Supervise the planning and execution of catering functions
  • Schedule team members to ensure appropriate coverage and service for events
  • Oversee ordering, receiving and billing functions
  • Remain in constant communication with Catering Resident Director, Executive Chef  and other team members to ensure high quality products and service
  • Follow up on all catered events
  • Monitor team member job performance
  • Manage the finances of all catering activities through effective food, labor and supply controls
  • Work with Resident Director regarding menu concepts and special events
  • Engage professionally with individuals at all levels at the account, including the client, team members, faculty, and executives
  • Monitor the care and operation of delivery vehicles

 

Job Requirements

  • Previous catering sales and/or catering operation experience 
  • Previous experience in the contract food service or hotel industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of online catering modules is a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and decision making ability
  • Ability to lead, supervise, train and coordinate the catering team
  • Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule
  • Hands-on approach to training and development of the service team
  • Operational knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment
  • TIPS Training experience preferred
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
