Job Description

  • Plan, organize and direct the work team members engaged in the procurement, storage, preparation and serving of food
  • Assist in preparation of budget estimates and justifications for the food service program and maintain cost control
  • Plan and direct the ordering, receiving and accounting of all food products, supplies and equipment for food operation
  • Review and evaluate existing operational methods and procedures of food service program for effectiveness and efficiency, initiating changes as necessary to ensure compliance with federal, state and county laws, rules and regulations
  • Interview, select, manage and develop team members
  • Participate in the development and adherence of policies and procedures that direct food preparation, distribution and service, purchasing, sanitation, safety practices, performance improvement and staff education and development
  • Oversee daily operation
  • Other duties and responsibilities as necessary

 

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of culinary experience 
  • Catering experience highly preferred
  • Experience leading, motivating and developing teams
  • Proven ability in meeting and maintaining budget goals 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others
