Job Requirements of Procurement Manager, Non-Foods:
Requirements:
- 3 or more years of management level experience in the purchasing/procurement field, preferably in a hospitality-focused organization, including restaurant chains, hotel chains, food service companies, and purchasing groups that focus on these industries
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or 6 years of Procurement experience increasing spend and people management responsibility
- Solid understanding and experience with purchasing strategies & inventory management
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proven analytical and decision-making skills to support effective buying decisions, problem resolution, process improvements, cost reductions, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, Auto Quotes is a plus
- Assertive, outgoing, professional demeanor
- Customer service orientation, with high levels of organization and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

Procurement Manager, Non-Foods
AVI Foodsystems is looking for a friendly and hard-working leader to fill the role of Procurement Manager, Non-Foods at our Headquarters location in Warren, OH.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the supply chain department for all non-food products used for all foodservice, micro markets, automated services, field operations and Headquarters Operations Departments
- Plan and buy all products, components, supplies, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner, while also ensuring maintenance of appropriate quality standards, safety standards, specifications, and quantities
- Develop and implement strategies for the procurement of all non-food components and services as noted
- Forecast future procurement needs and work with specific departments to finalize specification and need
- Create and implement key performance indicators to ensure savings and lower cost of goods
- Maintain positive relations with existing suppliers, and source new key suppliers and products
- Negotiate prices and program elements for key products
- Prepare RFQs for all goods and services
- Approve purchases in accordance with company policy
- Coordinate pricing and approved vendor information with other internal company departments
- Serve as liaison with the Accounts Payable Department and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices
- Train, direct, evaluate and develop all staff reporting to this position
